Empowering Change: St. Lawrence Relief Centre
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to lifting the most vulnerable members of our society out of poverty. We achieve this by tackling the root causes of hardship through a comprehensive approach. Imagine a world where:
- No child goes hungry: Your donation helps provide nutritious meals to families struggling to put food on the table.
- Healthcare is accessible to all: With your support, we can connect the most marginalized with critical medical care, ensuring they receive the treatment they deserve.
- Education unlocks potential: Donations fuel scholarships and educational programs, empowering children and youth to break the cycle of poverty through knowledge.
- Skills build brighter futures: Your contribution allows us to equip individuals with the skills they need to secure sustainable livelihoods and achieve financial independence.
- Hope overcomes trauma: Thanks to your generosity, we can provide vital psycho-social support to victims of violence, helping them heal and rebuild their lives.
By joining us, you become a partner in creating lasting change. Your donation, no matter the size, directly impacts the lives of those who need it most. Together, we can build a future filled with opportunity and hope.
FOOD AND NUTRITION
Lawrence Relief Centre provides emergency humanitarian support (food) to the homeless, destitute and mentally challenged. Their goal is to ensure that every person living in abject poverty has food to eat.
ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE
St. Lawrence Relief Centre provides emergency humanitarian support (access to healthcare) to the homeless, destitute and mentally challenged.
ACCESS TO BASIC EDUCATION
St. Lawrence Relief Centre provides scholarships to talented youth who lack the means to further their education.
SKILLS TRAINING
St. Lawrence Relief Centre provides livelihoods training and business start up support to the unemployed. Their goal is to ensure that those living in poverty have the skills and the means to start their own businesses, in order to become self-reliant.
ADVOCACY AROUND CHILD LABOUR
The St. Lawrence Relief Centre actively lobbies their government for two key initiatives: strengthening laws against child labour and increasing funding for education programs. By advocating for stricter legislation, they aim to deter exploitation and protect children. Additionally, increased funding for education creates opportunities that keep children in school, ultimately preventing them from entering the workforce prematurely.
PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT
The St. Lawrence Relief Centre could partner with other organizations that are working to end child labour. They could provide financial support or volunteer their time to help with these organizations’ efforts.
